Matt Baram stars in "Seed" on The CW as Jonathan Colborne.

Matt Baram is an actor, writer, and director living in Toronto. He's an alumnus of the legendary Second City Comedy Theatre, where he wrote and performed in six hit revues, collecting three Canadian Comedy Awards for best sketch troupe and three Dora Mavor Moore Award nominations for best musical.

Baram was a lead on "Punched Up" and "The Next Comedy Legend." Other TV credits include appearances on "Living in Your Car," "Murdoch Mysteries," "The Border," "'Da Kink in My Hair" and "The Jon Dore Show."

Recently, Baram directed "The Casting Room," winner of The Canadian Comedy Award for best web series in 2012. He also won a Canadian Comedy Award in the category of Best Male Improviser in 2012. He is a founding member and co-artistic producer (along with his fiancé, Naomi Snieckus of "Mr. D") of The National Theatre of the World (N.T.O.W), a multi-disciplinary, Toronto-based theater company that creates exciting, instantaneous theater through the art of improvisation. The company has performed at the Los Angeles Improv Festival, The Edmonton International Improv Festival, The International Improvisation Theatre Festival in Amsterdam, The Toronto Fringe Theatre Festival, the Supernova Festival in Halifax, and New York's Barrow Street Theatre, among others. The company has won three Canadian Comedy Awards in total, including Best Improv Troupe in three consecutive years.
