Matt Mason (CMT's Next Superstar)

Matt Mason from "CMT's Next Superstar" is one of the contestants competing on the CMT reality country singing competition series.

Matt Mason, 25, moved to Nashville from his hometown of Fairland, Indiana, where he started singing and playing guitar in church at age 11. He has since taught himself how to play the bass and has even opened for the Charlie Daniels Band. Matt believes he is "CMT's Next Superstar" because of his determination and life experiences. His musical influences range from Waylon Jennings to Bruce Springsteen.
