After graduating with a BA in Theater Studies with an Acting emphasis, McGorry moved back home to New York City. He immediately began classes at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre and completed the curriculum by going through improv levels 101-401 and the advanced program. He has done over 140 improv shows with his team, Out of the Woods.
