Meaghan Jette Martin was born on February 17, 1992, in Las Vegas, Nevada. At a very early age, Meaghan Martin began performing for family members, using the hearth of her grandmother's fireplace as her stage and a wooden spoon as her microphone. A fan of musical theater, Meaghan Jette Martin performed in several community theater productions in Las Vegas. Meaghan Jette Martin began modeling at the age of five, including Disney-licensed apparel at the M.A.G.I.C. Convention in Las Vegas. Meaghan Martin then made her professional theater debut in the Los Angeles production of the Jason Robert Brown musical, "13." Meaghan Jette Martin is best known for her role as the beautiful yet bossy Tess Tyler, queen bee of the hottest clique in camp, in Disney Channel's Original Movie "Camp Rock." Competing for the attention of pop star Shane Gray, Tess grows seemingly frustrated when she sees a special bond forming between him and her new underling, Mitchie Torres. While it appears Tess has the perfect life, she longs for the attention of her mother, a famous recording artist who spends more time on the road than with her daughter. Soon Meaghan Jette Martin will be reprising her role of Tess in the upcoming "Camp Rock 2." Meaghan Jette Martin's latest project is the lead role as Megan in the independent film "Dear Lemon Lima." Meaghan Jette Martin has also guest-starred on Fox's "House," Disney Channel's "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody," Nickelodeon's "Just Jordan" and CBS' "Close to Home." Meaghan Jette Martin also sang a version of "When You Wish Upon a Star" for the 2009 DVD/Blu-Ray release of Disney's "Pinocchio," and has been featured in a variety of national and international commercials, including for Barbie and Cabbage Patch Dolls. Meaghan Jette Martin has an older sister and two brothers.
