Melanie Liburd stars in "Dark Matter" as Nyx Harper, who is the physical equal to her formidable crew mates with her killer instincts. Having spent recent years in and out of prison, she's cautiously optimistic about finding a place to call home onboard the Raza.
 
Melanie Liburd's television credits include the action-packed series "Strike Back," "Dracula," "Stalker" and "What Would Dylan Do?" She recently starred in the film "Runaway Island," opposite Lorraine Toussaint. Liburd also plays a lead role in the independent film "Double Play," opposite Lennie James and directed by Ernest Dickerson, and can be seen on HBO's "Game of Thrones" as the incarnation of the Red Priestess.
 
Born in Hertfordshire, England, Liburd is half Kittitian, half English. Before training as an actress at The Identity Drama School, she was a model traveling all over the world. She also studied Art History and has a BA in Fashion Design.
