Melanie Nicholls-King stars in "Rookie Blue" on ABC as Noelle, a tough and capable police officer, who is not only great at her job, but is also an invaluable mentor for the rookies in her division.
Melanie Nicholls-King started her career on the stage. She formed a theater company called Sugar'n'Spice with two other women and was nominated for a DORA award in the best female performance category for their first production, "Sistahs." This was followed by a leading role in Clement Virgo's "Rude"
She's since had roles in the critically acclaimed HBO drama "The Wire," ABC's "Cupid," Showtime's "Deacons for Defense," "Law & Order," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," ""Law & Order: SVU," Disney's "The Famous Jett Jackson" and the independent film, "How She Move" which had it's premiere at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival and was picked up and distributed nationally by MTV Films and Paramount Vantage. She also continues to work regularly on the stage and was nominated for AUDELCOs for her roles in Cassandra Medley's "Relativity" and "Noon Day Sun."
