Melissa Rapp from "Platinum Hit" is one of the contestants in the Bravo reality songwriting competition series. She writes soulful and pop songs, drawing her inspiration from the likes of Ben Harper, Patty Griffin, Ryam Adams and Joni Mitchell. Rapp would like to write a songs for Norah Jones, Rihanna, Carrie Underwood and Jason Mraz. Rapp is currently living in Los Angeles, California but grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii.

After graduating from Stanford University with a 3.8 GPA and landing a successful job at Google, Melissa Rapp ("Platinum Hit") did not take the traditional route into the music industry. Her island roots and passion for music led Rapp to leave her high-paying, corporate job to pursue a career as a fulltime musician. Rapp hopes her love-inspired writing style will carry her to the top of the competition and validate her decision of following her heart to Los Angeles.
