A distinguished talent of stage, screen and film, Michael Challenger has excelled in multiple areas of the entertainment industry. His film and television credits include "The L-Word," "Intelligence," "Banshee," and "Time and Again." Michael can also be seen in the Canadian independent film, "The Woman of Aahs."
His tenure in the theatre domain has led to a vast variety of Broadway Award Winning productions, namely "The Producers," "Chicago," "The Lion King," "Singing in the Rain," as well as the upcoming role as "Ritchie" in the Broadway musical "A Chorus Line," set to hit the Vancouver stage in April 2009.
Michael has constantly been inspired to encourage and share his gifts with up-and-coming young talent, through his involvement as director and choreographer in many musical theatre venues such as "Avenue Q," "High School Musical," and "The Lion King" to name a few. He even shared his knowledge while travelling abroad, directing an acting workshop for the finalists of the ever so popular "So You Think You Can Dance" in Poland.
His natural ability for directing and choreographing led to the creation of ANU Productions that was founded by Michael himself. The company has already set high standards as being seen and recognized as a leading competitor among contenders within its ranking.
Michael's creative, innovative and steadfast approach towards his work, inspired his directorial staged event entitled "Energy," inspired by a Cirque Du Soleil theme. He has since then continued to hone his skills as a director for music videos. Some of his work can also be recognized for such projects as "Art TV" and "Dancing with the Stars" (French Version).
