Michelle Hurd stars in "The Glades" on A&E as Colleen Manus, the smart and tough Regional Director for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Florida's state police.
A 1988 graduate of Boston University's Acting School and a performer in the National Theatre of Great Britain, Michelle Hurd has performed on stage, film and television. She made her Broadway debut in "Getting Away With Murder." Her other Broadway and off Broadway performances include "Othello," "Hunchback of Notre Dame," "AMI," "Hot Keys," "Hamlet," "The Constant Couple," and "900 Oneonta." She won a Robby Award (a California regional theater award) for best supporting actress in a drama for her work in the South Coast Repertory Theatre's world premiere of Richard Greenberg's play "The Violet Hour."
She most recently had a recurring role in The CW's "Gossip Girl" as Laurel and in NBC's "ER" as Courtney Brown. Michelle's TV guest appearances include "FlashForward," "The Good Wife," "CSI: Miami," "Shark," "Kidnapped," "Smith," "Bones," "Charmed," "The O.C.," "Kevin Hill" and "Law & Order." She has had recurring roles in "New York Undercover," "The Practice," "Malcolm & Eddie," "Skin," "According To Jim" and a series regular/recurring role in "Law & Order: SVU." Michelle also starred in the Showtime series "Leap Years" and the daytime drama "Another World."
