Michelle Monaghan stars in Marc Forster's "Machine Gun Preacher," opposite Gerard Butler and Michael Shannon, as Lynn Childers. Monaghan also recently starred in the action-thriller "Source Code," alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Jeffrey Wright.

She will next be seen in "Boot Tracks," opposite Stephen Dorff and Willem Dafoe, as well as the dramedy "Better Living through Chemistry," alongside Jennifer Garner and Sam Rockwell.

Monaghan starred to great critical acclaim in the independent film "Trucker," which made its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival. For this role, she received the Best Actress awards from the San Diego Film Critics Society, Ft. Lauderdale Film Festival, and Vail Film Festival. Monaghan also served as an executive producer on the film.

However, it was Monaghan's starring role in "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang," opposite Robert Downey Jr., that first brought Monaghan to the attention of audiences around the world. She received rave reviews for her performance in the film, directed by Shane Black and also starring Val Kilmer.

Monaghan made her feature film debut in "Perfume," directed by Michael Rymer. She then played Richard Gere's secretary in Adrian Lyne's "Unfaithful," followed by supporting roles in Fred Schepisi's "It Runs in the Family," Josh Sternfeld's "Winter Solstice," Paul Greengrass's "The Bourne Supremacy," and Doug Liman's "Mr. & Mrs. Smith."

Monaghan then joined Charlize Theron, Frances McDormand, and Sissy Spacek in "North Country" for director Niki Caro; Ben Affleck's "Gone Baby Gone," co-starring Casey Affleck and Morgan Freeman; "The Heartbreak Kid," opposite Ben Stiller; J.J. Abrams' "Mission: Impossible III," with Tom Cruise and Philip Seymour Hoffman; opposite Patrick Dempsey in the romantic comedy "Made of Honor"; and the hit conspiracy thriller "Eagle Eye," alongside Shia LeBouf.

Most recently, Monaghan appeared in Sofia Coppola's "Somewhere" and Todd Phillips' "Due Date," once again appearing opposite Robert Downey, Jr.
