Miesha Tate, aka Cupcake, is one of the coaches on Fox Sports 1's "The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey Vs. Team Tate," Season 18 of the mixed martial arts competition series. She replaced Cat Zingano as a coach due to an injury that Cat suffered a few weeks prior.

Miesha Tate is a professional female mixed martial artist who is the former Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion, Women's 135 lb. Strikeforce Tournament Champion, 2X Freestyle Cage Fighting 135 lb. champion, 2009 World Team Trials Silver Medalist, 2009 Freestyle Cage Fighting Super Fight Champ, 2008 Fila Worlds Grappling Championships Silver Medalist, 2008 World Team Trials National Grappling Champion, and 2005 women's high school Washington state wrestling champ.

Her record as an amateur was 5-1. She started fighting professionally in 2007. Her professional record is 13-5-0 with six wins by submission and three by knockout. She has fought twice in one night twice in her career, in 2007 and 2010. She owns non-Strikeforce wins over Jan Finney and Elaina Maxwell and has won seven of her last 10 bouts.

Tate attended Central Washington University and was working at Costco before she started fighting. She started training when she was 19 years old, because she had wrestled in high school and was looking to take her ambition to the next level. Say says, "What better way to do that than to get in the cage and fight your heart out?!"

Tate trains twice a day — strength/conditioning or technique striking/grappling — and in the evening she does live rounds of sparring.
