Mike O'Brien stars in "Saturday Night Live" as a featured player, beginning in its 39th season.

Mike O'Brien cut his comedy teeth in the Chicago improv theaters. In 2009, following in the footsteps of many comedic greats before him, he moved to New York as a writer for SNL. O'Brien hosts the popular web series "7 Minutes in Heaven," in which he interviews celebrities in a closet.

O'Brien also stars in the sketch comedy group The Reckoning, and has appeared on IFC's "Portlandia." His one-man show has been featured at the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal and Chicago. He will be making his feature film debut in Broadway Video's upcoming "Staten Island Summer."

A Michigan native, O'Brien currently lives in New York City.
