Mike Starr was the original bassist for the popular 90's rock band Alice in Chains from 1987 to 1993, when he was asked to leave the band by the other members. Mike's problems with drug abuse took a dark turn and from that year on he has faced a mounting variety of drug possession, DUI and property destruction charges. A veteran of 30 stints in drug rehabilitation facilities, Mike's drugs of choice include heroin, methadone, crystal meth, cocaine and pot.
Starr died at home in Salt Lake City in 2011 from a drug overdose.
