Milena Govich joined the esteemed cast of NBC's Emmy Award-winning drama "Law & Order," in its 17th season. Govich will portray the series' first female detective, Nina Cassady, working alongside Detective Ed Green (Jesse L. Martin).

Milena Govich recently starred as Assistant District Attorney Jessica Rossi on the legal drama "Conviction." Milena Govich also gained attention for her recurring role as Candy on the series "Rescue Me," starring Denis Leary, and was a previous guest star in an episode of "Law & Order."

Milena Govich, a native of Norman, Oklahoma, was the valedictorian of her high school class before she completed a double major in performance and pre-med at the University of Central Oklahoma. Soon after, Milena Govich moved to New York and found her first Broadway role as Lulu in the musical "Cabaret" (she later essayed the role of the central character of Sally Bowles).

Following that, Milena Govich was featured in the limited Broadway run of "The Boys from Syracuse" and then traveled to China where she appeared in a series of rock concerts with the country's top recording artist Fei Xiang.
