Missi Pyle stars in "The Artist," opposite James Cromwell, Penelope Ann Miller and Malcolm McDowell, as Constance.

A gifted comedic actress with leading lady looks, Missi Pyle's talents were recently on display in films such as "Barry Munday," opposite Patrick Wilson, Judy Greer and Chloë Sevigny, "Spring Breakdown" with Amy Poehler, Will Arnett and Parker Posey; "Taking Chances," opposite Justin Long and Emmanuelle Chriqui; "Visioneers" co-starring Judy Greer; "Miss Nobody," alongside Leslie Bibb and Adam Goldberg; and "Pretty Ugly People," with Josh Hopkins. She also has a leading role in the forthcoming family film "Soccer Mom" featuring Emily Osment of "Hanna Montana" fame.

Born in Texas and raised in Tennessee, Pyle attended the North Carolina School 14 of the Arts and moved to New York after her graduation to pursue a theater career. Her off-Broadway work included a role opposite John Malkovich in Steppenwolf Theater Company's "The Libertine." Pyle soon made her film debut opposite Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt in "As Good As It Gets" and moved on to land major roles in television and feature films.

Perhaps best known for her unforgettably uproarious fight sequence with Queen Latifah in the smash hit "Bringing Down the House"(2003), Pyle first received wide attention for her hilarious turn as the alien Laliari in "Galaxy Quest"(1999), co-starring Tim Allen and Sigourney Weaver. Since then Pyle has appeared in features alongside some of Hollywood's biggest stars, including Johnny Depp in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," Vince Vaughn in "Dodgleball: A True Underdog Story" and Will Ferrell in "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy." Her other film credits include "Feast of Love," co-starring Morgan Freeman; the critically-acclaimed "Big Fish" and "Stormbreaker," both alongside Ewan McGregor; "Just My Luck," with Lindsay Lohan; and "Soul Plane," opposite Kevin Hart.

On television, Pyle has been seen on CBS's Two and a Half Men," NBC's "Heroes" and ABC's "Boston Legal." Other notable credits include guest turns on "Up All Night," "$#*! My Dad Says," "The Sarah Silverman Program," "Grey's Anatomy," "Numb3rs," "Pushing Daisies," "In Plain Sight" "and "My Name is Earl."

Pyle performs regularly with the all-female comedy sketch group "B*itches Funny" and often performs stand-up at such venues as The Comedy Store, The Improv and Area 51.

She currently resides in Los Angeles with her two dogs, J.J. and Ellie.
