Misty May-Treanor is one of the contestants on Season 7 of ABC's reality dance competition, "Dancing with the Stars." Misty May-Treanor partners with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who returns for his fifth season.

Nicknamed "Turtle," Misty May-Treanor paired up with Holly McPeak early in her career, collecting her first five career wins in addition to placing fifth in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Misty May-Treanor enters the 2007 season needing just four wins to surpass McPeak in all-time wins. In Huntington Beach in 2006, Misty May-Treanor surpassed $1 million in career earnings, just the second American woman to accomplish that feat.
Misty May-Treanor attended Long Beach State where she was part of the 1998 NCAA Championship, defeating Penn State and was awarded the NCAA Championship Co-MVP. In addition to the victory, Misty May-Treanor received several other collegiate accolades including the 1998 Honda Broderick NCAA Athlete-of-the-Year Award and was an NCAA First-Team All-American in the years 1996-1998. Her 1998 team was one of just three college teams to go undefeated in a season. She graduated with a BA in Kinesiology.
Misty May-Treanor was born in Los Angeles but spent her high school years in Costa Mesa where she attended Newport Harbor High School. She grew up alongside her two brothers Brack and Scott. Her cousin is tennis Olympian Taylor Dent. When she's not training, Misty May-Treanor is the assistant coach at Irvine Valley Junior College. Misty May-Treanor currently splits time between Long Beach, California and Coral Springs, Florida with her husband Florida Marlins catcher Matt Treanor. She enjoys playing with her boxers Gruden and Boogie.
