Mitchell Hope stars in Disney Channel's original movie "Descendants" as Ben, the benevolent teenage son of the King and Queen, aka the Beast and Belle. The network's senior vice president of casting and talent, Judy Taylor, said "We were intrigued by Mitchell's natural acting style, boyish charm and winning personality, and when we brought him to Los Angeles to read opposite Dove [Cameron], it was apparent that he embodied the inherent good nature of 'Ben' and the sense of fairness that the character represents."

Up-and-coming actor Mitchell Hope is a Hollywood newcomer who hails from Australia. He was previously seen in the Aussie miniseries "Never Tear Us Apart: The Untold Story of INXS." In addition, he starred in the short films, "Down the Way" and "Yes Mum."
