Hailing from New Jersey, Ju-Taun is a close-knit group of brothers, Jamie and Jake, and their best friends, Pete and Samoeun. The inseparable buddies, who have been singing together for a whopping 10 years, not only make great music together, they also have a collective knack for making some mean mac and cheese dinners!
Jamie and Jake's parents split up when the boys were young, causing both financial and emotional difficulties for their family. However, their dad's colorful career as a musician inspired them to form Ju-Taun in high school with their best friends Pete and Samoeun.
Pete has also experienced hard times in the past, but he has never allowed anything to stand in the way of his dream of taking Ju-Tuan all the way to the top ... hopefully on "MTV's Top Pop Group!"
Meanwhile, Samoeun, who was born in a refugee camp in Thailand, had to endure unspeakable poverty while growing up. Thankfully, his family eventually fled to the United States, where Samoeun not only discovered his passion for music but also three lifelong friends.
The guys, who came up with Ju-Taun by combining letters from each member's name, feel that the hardships they've endured throughout their lives have given them an insatiable hunger for success. Their passion oozes from every pore and they're determined to bring their A game -- and fusion of vintage soul and contemporary harmonies -- to "MTV's Top Pop Group."
