"Murder in the First" (TV show) is a drama series from Emmy-winner Steven Bochco and starring Taye Diggs ("Private Practice") and Kathleen Robertson ("Boss").

The cast also includes Tom Felton ("Harry Potter"), Mimi Kirkland ("Safe Haven"), Raphael Sbarge ("Once Upon a Time"), Lombardo Boyar ("The Bernie Mac Show"), Ian Anthony Dale ("Hawaii Five-0"), Bess Rous ("What Just Happened"), Nicole Ari Parker ("Revolution"), Currie Graham ("Raising the Bar"), Richard Schiff ("The West Wing"), James Cromwell ("Babe," "L.A. Confidential") and Steven Weber ("Dallas," "Wings").

Set in San Francisco, the series will follow a single case across an entire season. The drama centers on homicide detectives Terry English (Diggs) and Hildy Mulligan (Robertson) as they investigate the murder of an apparent drug addict. The mystery deepens, however, when the victim is found to have a connection to Silicon Valley wunderkind Erich Blunt (Felton), the celebrated CEO of a cutting-edge tech firm. The timing couldn't be worse for Blunt, who is preparing to take his company public. He's also being sued by a software developer who claims Blunt stole his code for a revolutionary new hologram system.

Terry and Hildy's fellow detectives in their squad include philosopher-cop David Molk (Sbarge). The squad is supervised by Lt. Jim Koto (Dale). On the home front, Hildy is a single mom with an inquisitive daughter (Kirkland). Terry, meanwhile, is struggling to take care of his terminally ill wife, Emily, played by guest star Anne-Marie Johnson ("JAG," "In the Heat of the Night"). Working for Blunt are Bill Wilkerson (Weber), his driver and pilot, and Ivana West (Rous), the company's chief technology officer.

Season 2

In the second season, San Francisco homicide detectives Terry English and Hildy Mulligan will investigate a series of murders that could rip the city apart and shake the police force at its core. Caught in the crosshairs during one of the most shocking crimes in the city's history, Mulligan, English and the men and women of 850 Bryant Street find themselves trapped in a crumbling system where the lines are blurred — between friends and enemies, loyalty and corruption, legal and illegal, good and evil — as a threat from outside is matched by a threat from within. Joining the cast this season are A.J. Buckley ("Justified"), Emmanuelle Chriqui ("Entourage"), Laila Robins ("Homeland"), Mo McRae ("Wild"), Mateus Ward ("Hostages") and John Cothran ("Eastbound & Down").

Season 3

Homicide Inspectors Terry English and Hildy Mulligan are thrust into the tangled world of sports and celebrity when a pro-football player is murdered. As their investigation becomes increasingly more complex, the Inspectors are faced with their own, personal tribulations, compounding the cascading pressures of the case. Meanwhile, the prolific DA of SF has his pedal to the medal as he attempts to stay afloat after an unfortunate tragedy threatens his livelihood.

Co-created by Steven Bochco and Eric Lodal ("The Locrian Mode"), "Murder in the First" is produced by TNT Originals. Steven Bochco serves as executive producer, with Lodal as co-executive producer. TBS International handles distribution to regions outside the United States and Canada.
