Nadiya Anderson from "Survivor: Blood vs. Water" (2014) is one of the contestants in Season 29 of the CBS reality competition series. She is a Crossfit coach and a project coordinator at Bridge2Peace, residing in Edgewater, New Jersey. She is the twin sister of fellow castaway Natalie Anderson. They both previously competed together twice in CBS's "The Amazing Race." They initially came in fourth place in Season 21 and then were the first team eliminated in the All-Stars edition in Season 24.

Personal Claim to Fame: Being on "Amazing Race" twice, (woohoo) but getting kicked off first (boooooo!)

Inspiration in Life: My parents, they always encouraged me to be a badass.

Hobbies: Crossfit, traveling with my twinnie and being a beach bum.

Pet Peeves: Stupid girls that rely on boys.

3 Words to Describe You: Badass, crazy and carefree.

Why You Think You'll Survive: I can thug it out!

Why You Think You Will Be the Sole Survivor: I think I will be the sole survivor because of my physical and mental resilience. My ability to stay positive in situations and being a strong, resourceful and vital teammate/tribe mate is going to enable me to make it through this game!

What Does It Mean to You to Play "Survivor" with Your Loved One? Playing "Survivor" with Natalie is so exciting, it's the ultimate adventure and test to our relationship! Being separated from Natalie while playing the game is going to push us to our limits! I can't wait!


The Amazing Race 24

Here is an interview with Nadiya Anderson:

Describe what you do: Travel, CrossFit, just trying to be a bad *ss every day.

Biggest mistake you made in your previous season: Getting to the driving part in Spain and choking on driving stick shift.

Most memorable moment from your first Race: Meeting/getting to race with people who have become lifelong friends and family.

Favorite place you visited on your first season: Bangladesh, we fit right in and kicked butt!

Why do you want to run the Race again? To win, because we know we can win.

How have you changed since the last time you competed? No, still a bad *ss.

What are you passionate about? Traveling, CrossFit, my twinny and my family.

People would be surprised to learn: My favorite song ever is "Chicken Fried" by The Zac Brown Band.

Biggest challenge you and your teammate will face on The Race together: Staying calm, cool and collected, which is pretty much impossible.

Pet peeve about your teammate: Natalie screams and yells for no reason which only makes everything a hot mess.

What country and place would you most like to visit and why? Jamaica. Natalie and I are Island Girls at heart and we are happiest by the beach.

What do you hope to accomplish by running The Race (other than winning one million bucks)? Having fun with my twinny and making more great memories!

Any strategic changes you will make heading into this Race: Take the time to read directions, follow directions and try and go in the right direction.

Describe what you do: I coordinate fundraising special events for Bridge2Peace both in Sri Lanka and the U.S. I also bake cupcakes for friends and family events.

3 words to describe you: Tough, crazy and reckless.

Favorite hobbies: Traveling, CrossFit, cooking and baking.

What is the accomplishment you are most proud of? Staying true to myself and where I come from.

What famous person reminds you of yourself? Khloe Kardashian.

What famous person reminds you of your teammate? Kim Kardashian.

What scares you most about traveling? Shark attacks and snake bites. Yikes!

What excites you most about traveling? Everything! What's not exciting about traveling?

Biggest challenge you and your teammate will face on The Race together: The ability to listen to one another without it turning into a screaming match.

Pet peeve about your teammate: Natalie is too pushy and always thinks she is right.

What country and place would you most like to visit and why? Ethiopia in Africa. With such rich culture, people and history, it would be awesome to experience such a diverse country. 

What do you hope to accomplish by running The Race (other than winning one million bucks)? I hope to show each other, our family and friends how tough we are, and represent for Sri Lanka — aka Brownie girls everywhere!
