Naomi Gillies from "American Idol 2012," whose full name is Naomi Rae Gillies, is rumored to be one of the top 60 contestants in Season 11 of the FOX reality singing competition.

Naomi Gillies ("American Idol") sang "Crying" by Aerosmith for her audition in Portland, Oregon. All three judges voted yes to send her to Hollywood.

Gillies is a 22-year-old blues, country and pop rock singer who grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, who has been singing since she was ten years old. She is currently a college student majoring in Performance and Music Business at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, where her vocal and performing skills have flourished. In fall 2009 she had the honor of singing with Grammy award winning producer Don Was in the "Don Was Meets Berklee" show. Gillies has also been chosen four times to participate in "Singer's Showcase," the school's premiere vocal event.

Gillies has been the lead singer for Boston's K2 band since December 2009.
