Naturi Naughton stars in "Power" on Starz as Tasha St. Patrick, wife, confidant and willing accomplice to James "Ghost" St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick).

Naughton also recently starred in Lifetime's drama series "The Client List," as Kendra, and NBC's drama "The Playboy Club" as Brenda, the beautiful African American Playboy Bunny with big aspirations.

Both a singer and actress, Naturi Naughton recently played the lead role of Denise in "Fame," the remake of the popular 1980 dance film, which centered on the students of the New York Academy of Performing Arts. She was also seen in the supporting role of Chara, alongside Rockmond Dunbar and Nia Long, in the independent feature "Highland Park," about the once glorious community which is on the brink of collapse.

Naughton burst onto the movie scene in the strong supporting role of iconic female rapper Lil' Kim in the motion picture "Notorious," which chronicled the life and death of famed rapper Notorious B.I.G, who came straight out of the crime-drenched streets of Brooklyn to take the world of rap music by storm. Other credits include the feature film "Lottery Ticket," co-starring Ice Cube and Bow Wow.

On television, Naughton had a guest-starring role on the AMC drama series "Mad Men."

Born and raised in New Jersey, Naughton started singing in the choir at New Hope Baptist Church in East Orange when she was just five. She went on to sing at many events, including the national anthem at a New Jersey Nets home games.

By the time Naughton was 14 years old, her career shifted from a local talent to a professional recording artist. She became a member of the girl band 3LW. The group released a platinum-selling album (1.3 million) and went on a nationwide tour with Destiny's Child and NSYNC, providing Naughton the opportunity to work with notable producers such as P. Diddy and Full Force.

Naughton attended Seton Hall University. Just before her junior year, she landed the role of Little Inez for the National Touring Company of "Hairspray." She would play the same role on Broadway several years later. She continues to pursue her own solo music career, while also embracing the new acting opportunities that have come her way.
