Although he was born in New York City, he was raised in numerous locations including Mexico, Venezuela, Florida, Connecticut, the Bahamas and London.
Carbonell currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Shannon Kenny, and their two sons, Rafael and Marco. Carbonell enjoys screenwriting, reading and playing tennis.
