'America's Got Talent 2010' Top 10 Contestants



The 10 finalists in the NBC talent competition will compete live on Tuesday, September 7, while the show will also include Enrique Iglesias, performing his #1 dance single "I Like It," and Sarah McLachlan singing her new single "Forgiveness."

UNIVERSAL CITY, CA — Last night on NBC's top-rated summer series "America's Got Talent," it was revealed which top 10 acts will compete live on Tuesday, September 7 (9-11 p.m. ET). The September 7 show will also include a performance from pop singer Enrique Iglesias, who will perform his #1 dance single "I Like It." Likewise, on Wednesday, September 8 (9-10 p.m. ET), Grammy winning singer/songwriter Sarah McLachlan performs her new single "Forgiveness" and the cast of the hit Broadway show "American Idiot" will perform as the final four acts will be revealed live.

Taylor Matthews - Alexandria, Louisiana (Musician/Singer)

Multi-platinum, 3-time Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter McLachlan will be performing her brand new single "Forgiveness" from her recently released and critically acclaimed new album "Laws of Illusion." McLachlan has sold over 40 million albums worldwide, received three Grammy Awards and just last month wrapped Lilith Tour 2010 where she performed on every single date.

Iglesias has sold more than 58 million copies worldwide, 21 #1 tracks on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs Chart, unbeatable records, numerous awards and thousands of sold-out concerts around the globe. He continues to be one of the most successful artists in modern music.

The smash hit Tony Award winning musical "American Idiot" tells the story of three lifelong friends, forced to choose between their dreams and the safety of suburbia. Their quest for true meaning in a post 9-11 world leads them on the most exhilarating journey of the Broadway season.

Earlier this week on "America's Got Talent," the first three audition cities for next season were announced and they are: Los Angeles, Denver and Chicago. The open auditions begin in October and many more cities will be added in the upcoming weeks.

"America's Got Talent" will launch its first nationwide tour this fall, bringing the country's most dynamic and diverse entertainers to 25 cities beginning October 1 at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, Calif. Hosted by Jerry Springer, the live stage version will feature the Season 5 winner, who will be crowned during the show's season finale on September 15th. In its fifth season, "America's Got Talent" airs Tuesdays (9-11 p.m. ET) and Wednesdays (9-10 p.m. ET) on NBC. Nick Cannon hosts. Sharon Osbourne, Howie Mandel and Piers Morgan star as the celebrity panel of judges. The series, which recently was renewed for a sixth season, is a true celebration of the American spirit, featuring a colorful array of hopeful stars, including singers, dancers, comedians, contortionists, impressionists, jugglers, magicians and ventriloquists, all vying for their chance to strut and perform on stage hoping to win America's hearts—and the $1 million prize.
