NEW YORK, NY — Syfy is ordering up additional episodes for three of its original reality programs. Hit series "Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files" has been renewed for a second season; twelve new half-hour episodes will be added to the current season of "Hollywood Treasure"; and "Ghost Hunters International" will return for a third season.

"Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files" was a breakout hit when Syfy launched its new bloc of reality programs this summer on Thursday nights. That success prompted an order for the six additional episodes currently airing on the channel. Since its premiere, "Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files" has averaged a 0.7 household rating and 961,000 total viewers. The series features former FBI Special Agent Ben Hansen, lead scientist Bill Murphy, effects specialist Larry Caughlin, journalist Jael De Pardo, photography expert Chi-Lan Lieu and stunt expert Austin Porter as they attempt to uncover the truth behind some of the most fascinating paranormal videos ever taken.

"Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files" currently airs on Thursdays at 10:00 PM ET/PT on Syfy. The second season will commence production in early 2011. "Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files" is executive produced by John Brenkus and Mickey Stern for BASE Productions, and is a co-production with Universal Networks International.

"Hollywood Treasure," which premiered in October as Syfy's best new reality franchise premiere in six years, introduced Joe Maddalena, owner of Profiles in History and the world's largest auctioneer of original movie, television and pop culture collectibles. In the three weeks since its premiere, Hollywood Treasure has averaged a 0.9 household rating and 1,229,000 total viewers.

The half-hour alternative reality series currently airs new back-to-back episodes every Wednesday at 10:00 PM and 10:30 PM ET/PT on Syfy. "Hollywood Treasure" is produced by Shevick*Zupon Entertainment. Jerry Shevick and Mark Zupon will return as executive producers.

In its second season, "Ghost Hunters International" has averaged a 1.4 household rating and 1,948,000 total viewers so far. "Ghost Hunters International" features a squad of paranormal investigators who use their principles of scientific techniques to explore some of the most legendary haunted spots around the world. The series will return to conclude its second season with seven all new episodes beginning Wednesday January 5, 2011 at 9:00 PM ET/PT. Investigations will include visits to Hamlet's Castle in Denmark, the Castle of Nuremberg, the Huissen House of Horror in the Netherlands and the Petrovaradin Fortress in Serbia. Barry FitzGerald leads the team of investigators, which includes newest member Ghost Hunters' Kris Williams from TAPS.

"Ghost Hunters International" is produced in association with Craig Piligian's Pilgrim Films and Television ("Dirty Jobs," "The Ultimate Fighter," "My Fair Wedding"). Piligian and Thomas Thayer, along with Rob Katz and Alan David, serve as executive producers. Production on the third season will begin in early 2011.
