Seth Macfarlane to Be Roast Master for Charlie Sheen



Premiering Monday, September 19, the "Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen" will see the "Family Guy" creator returning to the franchise for the third time.

NEW YORK, NY — Comedy Central announced today that Emmy Award-winning "Family Guy" creator, writer, director and voice-over actor Seth MacFarlane will once again emcee the network's Emmy-nominated Roast franchise. MacFarlane has been tapped as Roast Master for the upcoming "Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen"— bestowing him with the honor of being the only three-time returning Roast Master. The "Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen" (#SheenRoast) will tape in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 10. The Roast will premiere on Comedy Central on Monday, September 19 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

"I'm very excited to work with Comedy Central again on the roast," said MacFarlane. "Charlie is a true icon with a talent that is strong and pure and concentrated into small crystals which can be smoked or eaten."



"In addition to his sharp wit, Seth is way more suave and sophisticated than we are. We continue to try and soil him," said Kent Alterman, head of original programming and production, Comedy Central.

The "Comedy Central Roast Of Charlie Sheen" will be executive produced by Joel Gallen from Tenth Planet Productions, who also served as executive producer and director of the Comedy Central Roasts Of Donald Trump, David Hasselhoff, Joan Rivers, Larry The Cable Guy, Bob Saget, Flavor-Flav, Pamela Anderson, as well as the Emmy-nominated "Comedy Central Roast Of William Shatner." Jonas Larsen is the executive in charge for the network.
