MTV Wants More 'Ridiculousness'



The network has ordered a second season of Rob Dyrdek's new series featuring funny amateur viral videos.

SANTA MONICA, CA — MTV announced today the pick-up of a second season of Rob Dyrdek's hit series "Ridiculousness." The show features Rob's take on the funniest amateur viral videos, and builds them into episodes of edgy, funny television. "Ridiculousness" airs Monday nights at 10:00 p.m. on MTV.

"Our audience loves 'Ridiculousness,' and we're thrilled that Rob will be bringing another hilarious season of the show to our viewers," said David Janollari, Head of MTV Programming. "He is a powerhouse talent with a long history with MTV, and his brand of comedy, from 'Ridiculousness' to 'Fantasy Factory,' is a perfect fit on our network."



"Ridiculousness" is one of MTV's breakout hits of 2011, averaging a 1.8 P12-34 rating and 1.9 million viewers each week. The series is MTV's second highest-rated show among males 12-34, behind "Jersey Shore." Since its premiere, "Ridiculousness" has ranked #2 across all of television in the Monday 10:00-10:30 p.m. timeslot, second only to ESPN's Monday Night Football.

In tonight's all-new episode, executive producer Jeff Tremaine ("Jackass," "Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory," "Ridiculousness,") will be guest starring to help Rob break down the most popular viral videos on the web, including, "Lawn Chairs," "Your Friend is A D**k," "Ridiculousness In Training," and more.

"Ridiculousness" features commentary by co-hosts Sterling "Steelo" Brim, Chanel "West Coast" (the rapping receptionist from "Fantasy Factory"), and is shot in front of a studio audience.

"Ridiculousness" is executive produced by Rob Dyrdek, Jeff Tremaine, Shane Nickerson and Christian Duguay. "Ridiculousness" is produced by Dickhouse. Lauren Dolgen, Michelle Klepper and Kristina Edwards are the MTV executives in charge.
