NEW YORK, NY — Oxygen bolsters its production slate with a green light announcement for two new docu-series: the "Eva Marcille Project" (working title) which chronicles the hectic yet fabulous life of fashion model, actor, producer and television host Eva Marcille ("America's Next Top Model," Oxygen's "Hair Battle Spectacular") and "LA Style" (working title) which profiles four young, hip Los Angeles-based celebrity stylists. With these two new series, Oxygen offers viewers a taste of glamour with a fly-on-the wall look at fashion and high style. While one series chronicles the trials and tribulations of young stylists who are frenemies, competitors and rivals in LA's cutthroat celebrity style scene, the other flips the camera lens to showcase the hectic and challenging life of a model and actor and her three best friends as they help each other navigate the tumultuous waters of love, celebrity life and the entertainment industry in the glow of Hollywood's spotlight.

Oxygen President Jason Klarman commented, "We continue to ramp up our original production and focus on the characters and relationship driven themes that speak to our audience."

These two docu-series join previously announced greenlights for "The Next Big Thing" (working title), "Brooklyn Crew" and "Tanisha Gets Married" (working title). All five series are scheduled to air on Oxygen in 2012.

Series Pick-Ups

The "Eva Marcille Project" is a docu-soap about four beautiful and successful best friends who help each other navigate the tumultuous waters of love, celebrity life, and the entertainment industry. These women are not just another set of beautiful faces; they are also intelligent and business savvy women who are not afraid to push the boundaries in all aspects of their lives. At the epicenter of this group of friends is Eva Marcille ("America's Next Top Model"), fashion model, actor, producer and recent television host of Oxygen's "Hair Battle Spectacular." Her group of best friends includes Denyce Lawton, an accomplished actress who starred in Tyler Perry's "House of Payne" on TBS, Nikki Chu, a dynamic interior and product designer who has designed for several celebrities and major brands and Kelly Marie Dunn, a talent and brand manager who has worked with A-list musicians and pop stars. The "Eva Marcille Project" is produced by Ish Entertainment with Michael Hirschorn, Madison Merritt and Wendy Roth serving as executive producers.

Oxygen takes viewers behind the runways and underneath the red carpet with "LA Style," a sizzling look into the lives of four breakthrough fashion stylists on the rise in the cutthroat and catty world of Hollywood fashion. Taylor Jacobson ("The Rachel Zoe Project" and Oxygen's "Hair Battle Spectacular") is a workaholic who has worked incessantly to procure an impressive list of clients and will fiercely protect them from rival stylists. Brett Alan Nelson is represented by a prestigious styling agency and will stay up around the clock to put his own spin on his looks because he'd rather die than have a client end up on a worst dressed list. Sammy and Judy (a.k.a "The Kids") are a big double styling threat to other stylists in Hollywood. They style the It List of young, hip Hollywood and are squarely on the radar of LA's fashion scene. And right on the group's heels is Ashley Zohar (Taylor's stylist best friend and also her part-time assistant). Ashley is loud and outspoken, but she is also sweet and humble ... all the qualities necessary to be Taylor's BFF. These are LA's premier young super-stylists and they are taking no prisoners in clawing their way to the top. "LA Style (wt)" offers a real peek behind Hollywood's tightly drawn fashion curtain and is produced by Original Media with Charlie Corwin and Jay Peterson serving as executive producers.
