The People's Choice Award winners, nominees and categories are determined by the fans and thus far, the 2012 show has logged more than 230,000,000 votes on PeoplesChoice.com, the official People's Choice Awards Facebook app and Twitter. The categories of "Favorite New TV Comedy" and "Favorite New TV Drama" remain open for voting online until show night. For "Favorite New TV Comedy," fans can vote for "2 Broke Girls," "Last Man Standing," "New Girl," "Suburgatory," and "Up All Night." For "Favorite New TV Drama," the nominees are "Once Upon A Time," "Person of Interest," "Revenge," "The Secret Circle," and "Terra Nova."
Now in its 38th year, the "People's Choice Awards" is voted on entirely by the public for fan favorites in music, movies and television. Fred Nelson is the President of People's Choice, and the awards show is produced by Procter & Gamble Production, Inc., which is represented by MediaVest Worldwide, Inc., supervisors of the production. Kaley Cuoco is the host of "People's Choice Awards 2012" and Mark Burnett is the executive producer.
