LOS ANGELES, CA — Mothers beware! Lifetime has ordered 10 episodes of "Prank My Mom," a new, hidden-camera, comedy show that allows kids to show their mothers just how much they love them. Hosted by Vivica A. Fox ("Curb Your Enthusiasm," "Dancing with the Stars"), the program will premiere on Lifetime on Tuesday, October 9th, at 10 pm ET/PT. In advance of its October 9th launch, Lifetime will sneak-peek "Prank My Mom" on Thursday, September 27th, and October 4th, at 10:30pm, immediately following "Project Runway."

"Prank My Mom" will feature sons and daughters pulling off the most unheard of, outrageous and hilarious pranks — from a son getting caught shoplifting with his mom; to a daughter setting mom up on what turns into a blind date from hell; to a mom saying she was seriously injured in an accident to keep her child from being fired — all moms are in for a surprise they will never forget.

As the pranks progress, the kids' acting skills are put to the test while strategically-placed hidden cameras are on hand to capture every mom's reaction. From shock, tears and laughter, to panic and near nervous breakdowns, everyone is in on the joke ... except the moms. Once they have reached their breaking points, the actors let the moms in on the secret: that they've been "Pranked"! Cameras rush in to reveal — to a more than relieved mom — that they've been set up by their loved ones.

Acclaimed for her recent run opposite Larry David in the hit comedy series, "Curb Your Enthusiasm," Vivica A. Fox has co-starred with some of Hollywood's hottest actors, including Queen Latifah, Jamie Fox, Halle Berry, Will Smith and Uma Thurman. Among her feature film credits are Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill," "Independence Day," "Soul Food," "Why Do Fools Fall in Love" and "Ella Enchanted."

A+E Networks will handle global sales for "Prank My Mom."

"Prank My Mom" is produced by Thinkfactory Media and Peter M. Cohen Productions. Adam Reed, Peter M. Cohen, Adam Freeman and Leslie Greif serve as executive producers with Lifetime's Rob Sharenow, Gena McCarthy and Kimberly Chessler.
