'American Idol' Hits the Road This Summer for the 2009 Live Concert Tour
Tickets go on sale May 9 for the live concert in 50 cities across America.

LOS ANGELES, CA—Fans of America's #1 show will once again have the chance to catch their favorite "Idols" performing live in concert, as the top 10 contestants from "American Idol" season 8 hit the road in the highly anticipated summer tour. 19 Entertainment Founder/CEO and "American Idol" creator Simon Fuller, along with AEG Live, announced today that tickets for the American Idols Live! Tour will go on sale May 9th, 2009. This season's "American Idol" top 10 contestants Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta, Anoop Desai, Danny Gokey, Kris Allen, Lil Rounds, Matt Giraud, Megan Joy, Michael Sarver and Scott MacIntyre will embark on the North American tour, which launches in Portland, Oregon on July 5, 2009.
Simon Fuller, creator and executive producer of "American Idol" stated, "American Idol gives undiscovered talent the once in a lifetime opportunity to perform live every week on the show and now the tour will give America the unique chance to see these newly discovered stars performing in their own home town."
