UNIVERSAL CITY, CA — International superstar Mariah Carey will perform on the first "America's Got Talent" results show Wednesday, August 5 (9-10 p.m. ET).

In addition, the video of Carey's anticipated new single, "Obsessed," will air for the first-time ever tonight Wednesday, July 15 on "America's Got Talent" (9-10 p.m. ET).

"Obsessed," written and produced by Carey, The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, is the first single pick from "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel." "Memoirs" was executive-produced by Antonio "L.A." Reid. The video for "Obsessed," filmed in New York City last week, was directed by renowned filmmaker Brett Ratner.

"Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" is the eagerly anticipated follow-up to Carey's multi-platinum-selling album E=MC2 (released April 15, 2008), and her worldwide 10 million selling The Emancipation Of Mimi (released April 12, 2005). Both were Soundscan #1 debut albums that made chart history for Carey in the U.S. and numerous territories around the globe. The Emancipation Of Mimi generated three Grammy awards (including Best Contemporary R&B Album), two #1 singles, and countless more honors during its 18-month chart stay.

"America's Got Talent" is produced by FremantleMedia North America and Simon Cowell's SYCO Television. Cowell, Cecile Frot-Coutaz ("American Idol"), Jason Raff ("Momma's Boys") and Scott St. John ("Deal or No Deal") serve as executive producers.
