David Archuleta Goes on TourWith his new album "Christmas from the Heart" coming out on October 13, the "American Idol" runner-up will continue spreading the holiday cheer when he goes on tour in November and December.October 12, 2009 NEW YORK, NY—19 Recordings/Jive Records artist David Archuleta enriches the holiday spirit with his upcoming "Christmas From The Heart" album due in stores Oct. 13, highlighted by a 17-city U.S. tour throughout the advent season. Archuleta's original composition "Melodies of Christmas" sets the festive tone for an album inspired by his deep regard for the meaning of Christmas and tidings of good will. Seasonal standards "I'll Be Home for Christmas" and "Silent Night" are included on the holiday collection filled with widespread international appeal. Filipino vocalist Charice Pempengco joins Archuleta for the duet "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas." The Salt Lake Children's Choir and The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra are featured on select holiday favorites, conveying Archuleta's message—joy to the world. Archuleta, who sold out his last tour in a matter of minutes, will hit the road in November and December performing his hits and seasonal classics from "Christmas from the Heart." Through a partnership with I Love All Access, a variety of VIP ticket packages have been created for this tour, including premium seats, meet and greets, Q & As with Archuleta, private acoustic performance, photo ops and more. Archuleta, a seventh season runner-up on "American Idol," first captivated audiences and went onto release a critically acclaimed self-titled debut album that sold over 700,000 albums. The Murray, Utah native soared to #2 on the Billboard charts, buoyed by his smash single "Crush."
