Nikki Amuka-Bird stars in "Luther" on BBC America as Erin Gray, who has entered the police force on the High Potential Scheme, on a fast track through the system.

Since graduating from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Nikki Amuka-Bird has performed in many on-screen, theater and radio productions. Bristol Old Vic, for which she received an Ian Charleson Award nomination in 2004, "The Gods Weep" for the RSC and Hampstead Theatre, "World Music" at the Crucible Theatre and the Donmar Warehouse; and numerous productions for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Amuka-Bird has also appeared in films including "The Disappeared," the 2006 remake of "The Omen" and "Almost Heaven." Her numerous TV credits include the BBC's adaptation of Andrea Levy's award-winning novel, "Small Island," the apocalyptic series "Survivors," "The #1 Ladies Detective Agency," "The Canterbury Tales," "Silent Witness," 'The Line of Beauty," "Spooks" and "Torchwood."
