Nonso Anozie stars in "Game of Thrones" on HBO as Xaro Xhoan Daxos. On the big screen, Anozie stars in "The Grey," opposite Liam Neeson and Dermot Mulroney, as Burke and "Conan the Barbarian" (2011), opposite Jason Momoa, as Artus.

Nonso Anozie trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Upon graduating he became the youngest person in history to play King Lear for the Royal Shakespeare Company. He then played opposite Kenneth Branagh as the Prisoner in David Mammet's "Edmond," at the National Theatre. Nonso won worldwide acclaim for his performance of the title role in the Cheek by Jowl theater company's world tour of "Othello." He also played the lead in "Death and the King's Horseman."

Nonso's theater career has seen him play at national theaters in major cities all over the world, including New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Rome, Hong Kong, Madrid, Sydney, Moscow and London. Nonso's film and television career mirrors his theater work, with leading roles in Oscar-nominated and BAFTA-winning productions including Joe Wright's "Atonement," Mike Leigh's "Happy Go Lucky," "RocknRolla," "Cass," "Brighton Rock," "The Last Legion," and "Occupation." Most recently he completed work on "Stolen," a television film directed by Justin Chadwick.

Nonso's distinctive voice has been included in many different commercials, radio plays and video games worldwide.

Nonso has been recognized with a variety of awards and accolades including the Ian Charleson Award as the First Place Winner for "King Lear" and "Othello." He was awarded the Screen Nation Award for Emerging Talent in CASS as well as 2011 Male Performance in TV. Nonso won Best Actor for his role in "Othello" by the Chinese Magnolia Awards. "Occupation" won Best Drama with the British Press Guild and BAFTAs.
