Norbert Leo Butz stars in ABC's "The Deep End" as Rowdy Kaiser.
Norbert Leo Butz recently starred in the new musical "Catch Me If You Can" at the Seattle Rep in the role of FBI Agent Carl Hanratty. He made his Broadway debut in the original cast of "Rent." His other Broadway credits include "Speed the Plow," "Is He Dead?," the original cast of "Wicked," "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels"—for which he receieved a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical, a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actor in a Musical,
Off-Broadway, Norbert's credits include "Buicks," for which he received a Drama Desk nomination, "The Last Five Years," for which he received Drama Desk and Lortel nominations along with a Drama League Award, "Fifty Words," "Juno and the Paycock" and "Saved." He has participated in the national tours of "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" and "Cabaret." Norbert has also appeared at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival for four seasons and appeared at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis.
On the big screen, Norbert has appeared in "Fair Game" and "Dan in Real Life" with Steve Carell. His television credits include "Playing Chicken" and CBS's miniseries "Comanche Moon."
Norbert received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Webster University and a Master of Fine Arts at The University of Alabama's Alabama Shakespeare Festival's Professional Actor Training Program.
