Pam Childs from "The First 48: Missing Persons" is one of the police detectives featured in the A&E reality series.

It was the action movies of the 1970s that inspired Det. Pam Childs to become a police officer. "When I was a kid, I used to watch Pam Grier movies, and I thought she was a really cool detective," she says. "She inspired me to become what I am today."

The 20-year veteran was a youth services investigator before coming to Missing Persons. In her spare time, Det. Childs dotes on her two grandsons, as well as a dog and cat.
