Paul Pfau from "The Voice" is one of top 48 artists in Season 8 of the NBC reality singing competition series. From Washington, DC, he is on Pharrell Williams' team.

Paul Pfau sang "Fly Me to the Moon" by Frank Sinatra for his blind audition. After both Blake Shelton and Pharrell turned their chairs around, Paul chose Pharrell to be his coach.

Paul got the music bug from his grandma, a self-taught pianist. In high school, Paul started a band, but after college he decided to go solo. Last year, Paul developed a complication with his vocal cords that brought his career to an abrupt halt. He moved back in with his parents and underwent months of rehab with a speech pathologist. All the work eventually paid off, and Paul's vocal cords are healthy again. Now, he needs "The Voice" to get his career back on track.
