British actor Paul Ritter recently starred in Channel 4's comedy "Friday Night Dinner" as Martin and ITV's thriller "Vera" as Billy Cartwright. Other UK television credits include ITV's "The Bletchley Circle," "Midsomer Murders," "Dirk Gently," "Great Expectations," "Land Girls," "The Night Watch," "Lark Rise to Candleford," "Money," "Pulling," "He Kills Coppers," "Instinct," "Waking the Dead," "Viva Blackpool," "Nostradamus," "The Girl in the Café," "The Peterloo Massacre," "Fields of Gold," "Big Cat," "Out of Hours," "The Bill" and "National Achievement Day."

On the big screen, Ritter has been seen in "Elliminate: Archie Cookson," "The Eagle," starring Channing Tatum and Jamie Bell, "Nowhere Boy," alongside Kristin Scott Thomas, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," Marc Forster's "Quantum of Solace," starring Daniel Craig as 007, "The Other Man" with Liam Neeson and Antonio Banderas, "Son of Rambow," "Hannibal Rising," opposite Gaspard Ulliel, "On a Clear Day," alongside Peter Mullan and Brenda Blethyn, "The Libertine," starring Johnny Depp, "Esther Kahn" and "The Nine Lives of Thomas Katz."

On stage, Ritter was nominated for a Tony Award in 2009 for "The Norman Conquests." He also performed in London's West End in "The Birthday Party." For the National Theatre, he has been featured in productions of "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time," "Really Old, Like Forty FIve," "The Hothouse," "The Reporter," "The Royal Hunt of the Sun," "Coram Boy," "The Coast of Utopia," "Howard Katz," "Remembrance of Things Past" and "All My Sons." For the Royal Shakespeare Company, he was seen in "Troilus and Cressida," "The White Devil" and "Three Hours after Marriage." Other theatrical credits include "Food Chain," "The Night Heron," "Bluebird," "Don Juan," "Accidental Death of an Anarchist," "Cloud Nine," "The Caretaker," "Three Sisters," "Drummers," "Happy Valley," "Grimm Tales," "Christmas," "Crossing the Equator," "Raising Fires," "Darwin's Flood," "Belle Fontaine" and "Snake in the Grass."
