Paul Schneider stars as city planner Mark Brendanawicz in NBC's new comedy "Parks and Recreation." The new series is a half-hour mockumentary that looks at the exciting world of local government.

Paul Schneider will next be seen in "Bright Star" directed by Jane Campion as well as Sam Mendes "Away We Go" opposite John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph. Paul Schneider was lauded for his performance in "Lars and the Real Girl" opposite Ryan Gosling as well as "The Assassination of Jesse James" with Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck. Paul Schneider's directorial debut "Pretty Bird" starred Billy Crudup and Paul Giamatti and screened in competition in Sundance in 2008.

Paul Schneider has also received critical acclaim for his work in Cameron Crowe's "Elizabethtown," "All the Real Girls" and "The Family Stone."
