Paul Vogt stars in NBC's holiday musical "Hairspray Live!" as Mr. Spritzer.

Paul Vogt received classical theater training from the State University College at Buffalo and was hired to perform at Walt Disney World where he was an original cast member of "Streetmosphere." While in Florida, he continued to perform on stage and garnered critical acclaim for his theater work. He was also the founding member and director of The Paul Vogt Improv Group, which appeared at the Civic Theatre of Central Florida and at the Disney Institute.

Vogt and his identical twin, Peter, were soon cast in Barry Sonnenfeld's quirky ABC series "Maximum Bob" and then, after moving to California, Vogt was cast by Gary Marshall in the musical version of his hit TV show "Happy Days." Other television credits include "Chicago Hope," "In-Laws," "Arrested Development," "Raising Hope," "Glee," "Grey's Anatomy," "Hannah Montana" and "Reno 911."

Vogt has appeared in several movies directed by Marshall, including "The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement," "Valentine's Day," "Raising Helen" and "Mother's Day." Other film projects include "Good Boy!," "Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch," "Igor" and "Kung Fu Panda: Secrets of the Masters."

Vogt made his Broadway debut in 2007 in "Hairspray!" as Edna Turnblad and has since played Tracy's loveable mom all over the country.

Besides performing, Paul has written his first children's book, "Billy Butler and the Snow Dog," which will be released later this year.
