Peach Carr from "Project Runway" is one of the designers competing in Season 8 of the Lifetime reality fashion design competition series. Peach ("Project Runway 8") is a freelance designer. She currently lives in Lake Forrest, Illinois, but is originally from Winfield, Illinois. She is 50 years old.
The first garment Peach Carr ever made was an A-line shift in the fourth grade while in the 4-H club. She first realized that she had potential as a designer when she had to start turning away clients because she was too busy. In the past, she has worked in a hospital, slung tuxedos and designed for her children's label, Mousecakes. She is self-taught and once won a bunch of blue ribbons at the county fair.
When she's designing, Peach Carr likes listening to Clapton, Bowie, Motown and anything from the 1970s. She believes great shoes and an even better attitude are fashion musts.
Her favorite designers are Valentino, McQueen and Balenciaga.
