Anna Paquin stars as Sookie Stackhouse on HBO's "True Blood."
Anna Paquin won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her film debut at age 11 in "The Piano." Anna Paquin recently finished production on "Blue State," in which she stars and serves as executive producer. Anna Paquin will next be seen in Kenneth Lonergan's "Margaret," starring opposite Matt Damon, Mark Ruffalo and Matthew Broderick.
Anna Paquin's other film credits include "X-Men" and its two sequels, "The Squid and The Whale," "25th Hour," "Buffalo Soldiers," "Finding Forester," "Almost Famous," "Hurlyburly," "She's All That," "A Walk on the Moon," "All the Rage," "Amistad," "Fly Away Home" and "Jane Eyre."
On stage, Anna Paquin received a Best Lead Actress Drama Desk nomination for her stage debut in Rebecca Gilman's "The Glory of Living," directed by Phillip Seymour Hoffman, at New York's MCC Theater, followed by a critically acclaimed performance in "This Is Our Youth." Anna Paquin's other stage credits include "After Ashley" and "The Distance from Here."
