Doug Savant is currently back for a third season on another television cultural phenomenon, ABC's "Desperate Housewives," in which he portrays former ad exec and current house husband Tom Scavo. In the role of Tom, husband to "housewife" Lynette, Doug Savant and co-star Felicity Huffman, along with three out of control kids, give viewers a "real" look into the suburban family experience. Over the last two seasons, Doug Savant's character went from bread winner to stay-at-home Dad to working alongside Lynette. With season three now underway, the stakes are raised even higher, with Tom having to balance family -- which now includes Kayla, a daughter from another woman -- and pursuing his dreams in life.
Prior to his primetime notoriety, Doug Savant had roles on the big screen in films like "Masquerade," opposite Rob Lowe, "Hanoi Hilton" and "Red Surf," opposite George Clooney. Following "Melrose," he took on a supporting role in the Dean Devlin/Roland Emmerich mega-production of "Godzilla," starring Matthew Broderick.
Doug Savant's television appearances include such hit shows as "24," "According to Jim" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation."
Doug Savant is married to actress Laura Leighton and they have four children.
