Born on July 26, Francia Raisa was born and raised in Southern California by her mother Virginia Almendarez and her father Maximo Renan Almendarez Coello. Francia Raisa's father is the number one disc jockey in Los Angeles on 97.9 FM, La Raza and is also known to many as the Latin radio personality "El Cucuy."
As a junior in high school, Francia Raisa started to model for print ads, star in commercials, and even dabbled in the world of sitcoms. After shooting "Bring it On: All or Nothing" starring opposite NBC's "Heroes" Hayden Panettiere, Francia Raisa starred in the Nickelodeon film "Shredderman Rules." Francia Raisa recently shot a lead role in "Underground," directed and written by Tinieblas González and starred as the lead female role of MGM's ABC Family TV movie, "The Cutting Edge 3: Chasing the Dream. "
