Jason George stars as Keith Bennett on ABC's legal drama "Eli Stone." Before that, Jason George played Jimmy on ABC's "What About Brian."
Jason George's career began in 1996, while still a graduate student in Philadelphia. Jason George went to an open call at a local mall for Aaron Spelling's new daytime drama, "Sunset Beach." During the nationwide talent search, casting directors saw more than 14,000 hopefuls, but Jason George landed a series regular role, playing hunky gang leader turned lifeguard Michael Bourne.
For the last three years, millions of fans have known Jason George as J.T. Hunter, the onscreen boyfriend of rap-star Eve on UPN's hit sitcom entitled, simply, "Eve." Jason George and Eve's onscreen chemistry had already struck a chord with audiences in the MGM comedy "Barbershop," also starring Ice Cube and Sean Patrick Thomas. In the film, however, Jason George plays quite a different character as Eve's sexy but cheating boyfriend.
Jason George starred on the series for three years and garnered a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series for his work. Wildly popular with fans, Jason George was also voted one of Soap Opera Digest magazine's "50 Most Beautiful Men in the World." Subsequently Jason George starred on Spelling's primetime soap, "Titans."
From "Titans," Jason George went directly to the DreamWorks/WB series "Off Centre," where he worked with Paul and Chris Weitz, the Oscar nominated writer-directors behind "About a Boy" and "In Good Company." In the screwball comedy, Jason George starred as rap star Status Quo, opposite Eddie Kaye Thomas and John Cho.
Then Jason George's career went "Platinum," literally. Jason George played the lead in the drama from Sophia Coppola and Greenblatt-Janollari Studios, the duo behind "Six Feet Under." Critically acclaimed, "Platinum" focused on the dangerous world of hip-hop music moguls competing against other major record labels who use force, whenever possible, to get what they want.
Jason George has appeared in several films, including "Fallen," "Clockstoppers" and "The Climb." Jason George's television credits include guest starring on numerous shows such as "Friends," "Without a Trace," "Boomtown," "Girlfriends," "Half and Half" and "Moesha." Jason George most recently completed shooting a pilot for Kevin Williamson, creator of "Dawson's Creek" and "Scream."
Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Jason George majored in rhetoric and communication studies at the University of Virginia and later honed his craft earning an M.F.A. from Temple University's theater department.
Jason George enjoys stretching his chops on stage, having played the lead in U.S. poet laureate and Pulitzer Prize winner Rita Dove's epic drama, "The Darker Face of the Earth," in Los Angeles. The play, which relocated Sophocles' tragedy "Oedipus Rex" to a South Carolina cotton plantation in 1820, received accolades from the Los Angeles Times and The Hollywood Reporter.
Jason George currently lives in Los Angeles. He serves on the Board of Directors for Temple University's School of Communication and Theater, as well as the National and Los Angeles boards of the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists.
