It's not easy to be an assistant in Hollywood, but it's a job that Jessica Zajicek does with love, patience and a good sense of humor. Hailing from Mesa, Arizona, Jessica Zajicek headed for the "glamour" of Los Angeles and started out as an apprentice in a salon, where a client asked if she would be interested in a job as a personal assistant. Jessica Zajicek was ready to switch gears and try something new, so she took on the role of Kathy Griffin's personal assistant, friend and partner in crime.
This season Jessica Zajicek reveals that she has a fear of drag queens, something that is discovered during Kathy's hosting gig on Air New Zealand's Pink Flight. Some people have a fear of clowns; Jessica Zajicek's fear is drag queens. But Kathy helps her get through it with shock therapy.
These days Jessica Zajicek is also getting recognized on the street thanks to Bravo's "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List," and sometimes Kathy gets jealous because it appears that Jessica may have more fans than she does.
Jessica Zajicek loves her job and finds that extreme organization is the best way to manage Kathy's hectic schedule and life. When Jessica Zajicek gets a well-deserved day off she enjoys yoga, napping with her cats and hanging out with friends. One thing's for sure, Jessica's life as an assistant is anything but ordinary.
