 |
On FX Network's "Nip/Tuck," John Hensley plays Matt McNamara, the 17-year-old son of Sean and Julia. Quiet and sometimes withdrawn, he is coming of age in a house where problems are often ignored. In Season 4, Matt will continue to deny his involvement in the hit-and-run accident of high school student Cara Fitzgerald – and suffer the consequences. Before joining the cast of "Nip/Tuck," John Hensley was seen on TNT's "Witchblade" as Gabriel, an antique dealer who befriends and mentors Sarah, the female lead. Prior to moving to Los Angeles for "Nip/Tuck," John Hensley lived in New York, where he landed a very memorable role on HBO's "The Sopranos" as Meadow's high-school boyfriend. Under the direction of Emmy® Award-winning Jim Burrows, John Hensley also starred as Gabriel Byrne's son in ABC's highly acclaimed but short-lived series "Madigan Men." Additionally, John Hensley appeared in the Comedy Central cult hit "Strangers With Candy" and stars in the independent feature "Campfire Stories." John Hensley recently completed work on the independent film "PEOPLES," an ensemble drama about troubled youths in Kentucky.
John Hensley has always had a passion for acting but after graduating high school in Kentucky, he decided to pursue his other dream of being a cowboy. John Hensley spent three years as a horse-wrangler in Wyoming before attending Fort Lewis College in Colorado. There John Hensley studied the humanities and became immersed in the theater community. Together with friends, John Hensley formed an improv group which became so successful that they were invited to perform with Chicago's famed Second City Theatre Troupe.
