John "Spider" Salley is a former professional basketball player in the NBA, as well as an actor and talk show host. John Salley played both power forward and center for the Detroit Pistons, Miami Heat, Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers. John Salley gained the nickname "Spider" for his in-your-face style of guarding his opponent. John "Spider" Salley is also the first player in NBA history to play on three different championship-winning franchises. John Salley currently co-hosts "The Best Damn Sports Show Period" on Fox Sports Network and the new BET talk show, "Ballers."
John Salley was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 16, 1964.
