Josh Temple on NBC's "America's Toughest Jobs" |
 |
 |
Josh Temple is a versatile and experienced entertainment personality who consistently works on film, television, stage and radio. Josh Temple is a champion of the common man -- adventurous, hard-working and dependable. Currently, he is the host of NBC's "America's Toughest Jobs," the perfect companion to his blue-collar background and love for travel.
After graduating from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in history and getting certified through the Athletic Coaching Program, Josh Temple spent the next seven years working construction and traveling the globe. Josh Temple has played golf at St. Andrew's in Scotland, sky-dived in Australia, bungee-jumped and rafted his way through rivers in Africa.
Seeing an improv show in San Francisco in the late 1990s encouraged Josh Temple to enroll in classes, and he quickly became a company member of Bay Area Theatresports. From there Josh Temple performed in plays and sketch comedies, and he found himself writing and directing improv shows in schools all over the Bay Area.
Josh Temple has had co-starring roles on "Will & Grace" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm." In 2003, while building his own home, Josh Temple received his first hosting job on "Dude Room" for the Discovery Channel. Josh Temple went on to host "Backyard Nation" for TLC in 2006 and just recently finished his third season of "The Clubhouse," a golf show for the Resort Sports Network that airs on local stations in resort towns nationwide. Josh Temple has a three-handicap and is a "lunatic" about the sport.
